It all started when…
Fürstenberg Maritime Advisory set sail at the end of 2016, born from the desire to serve the maritime industry with impact. The team brings experience from operations and leadership at sea, and in-house consulting and innovation management, all with A.P. Møller-Maersk, as well as from management consulting with DNV.
The consultancy spent its first few years as a freelancer assisting the industry finding new pathways for sustainable business in the wider ocean space. With both partners getting involved in the consultancy by October 2019, the focus has been centered to the challenge of decarbonizing the maritime industry - sustainably.

With almost 30 years experience in the maritime and offshore sectors, Conor is the operational source at Fürstenberg Maritime Advisory. His knowledge of high risk maritime and offshore management provides a critical and broad multi-functional perspective. This delivers a rounded treatment and assimilation of the full stakeholder range including technical, operational, HR/Crewing, legal, commercial, ITC and QHSSE.
Conor can assist with the definition and bridging of gaps, improving communication, establishing understanding and building trust. He provides support along the resultant path for technical and commercial cooperation and development.
